Plans are being made for the 2nd annual Empty Bowls fundraiser at Bogart! The event will be in May - final date to be announced soon.
Empty Bowls is a fundraiser found in many communities, in which local artists and students make and donate ceramic bowls for a soup luncheon. Ticket holders get a bowl of soup, and get to take home one of the bowls made by the artists and students.
This fundraiser will benefit local food pantries, to help combat food insecurities in our own neighborhoods. Help us make sure all of our neighbors have enough to eat.
There are three ways to get involved:
First - consider making a bowl to donate to the luncheon. We are happy to receive donations from local artists. Other community members are invited to make or decorate bowls at our ceramics studio, Flourish Community Art Studio. Dates for creating bowls in April will be announced soon. We hope to have 100 bowls!
Second - if you are a local restaurant, we are looking for donations of soup and breads for the luncheon.
Third - buy a ticket to the meal! You will get a soup and bread lunch, as well as a handmade ceramic bowl to take home.
All of the proceeds will go directly to local food pantries to support the health of our neighbors. Get involved!
